by fearoffours I also think some important points are hidden away in side panels (eg that you cannot increase health above 10 without specific cards!)

Thread: King of Tokyo:: Rules:: Mimic bought first?

Reply: King of Tokyo:: Rules:: Re: Mimic bought first?

by ghopper21 I for one would agree with you, but I can see the logic in the other player's view also. Dunno if there's any official ruling on this.

Reply: King of Tokyo:: Rules:: Re: Mimic bought first?

by a1bert My literal interpretation is that you would not be able to use the Mimic. When there is at least one another card on the table at the beginning of your turn, you can pay 1 energy to Mimic a...

Thread: King of Tokyo:: Strategy:: Whats the benefit of staying in Tokyo?

by Oranjb I just got this game & played it a few times with my group (6 people in total). By the 3rd game no one wanted to be in Tokyo (or Tokyo Bay) because you keep getting pummelled & then...

Reply: King of Tokyo:: Strategy:: Re: Whats the benefit of staying in Tokyo?

by Sizzla This isn't necessarily a hard and fast rule, but generally the more people playing, the less beneficial staying in Tokyo is. In a 3 player game, there's more of a temptation to risk another...

Reply: King of Tokyo:: Strategy:: Re: Whats the benefit of staying in Tokyo?

by SirHandsome The benefits are the obvious ones (bonus points and attack-everyone). However, you usually have to "set yourself up" to be in Tokyo to actually feel like "The King." whether that means...

Reply: King of Tokyo:: Strategy:: Re: Whats the benefit of staying in Tokyo?

by TnT! Don't stay in Tokyo too long. You can leave when taking only one damage. But that only reinforces your concept that taking Tokyo is bad. However, timing is everything. With 6 players if you can...

Reply: King of Tokyo:: Strategy:: Re: Whats the benefit of staying in Tokyo?

by Verdigris97 There are cards that make Tokyo much less painful, and once you get one (or two!) of them the two VP per round starts to look very attractive. (Although I could see how playing with 6...

Reply: King of Tokyo:: Strategy:: Re: Whats the benefit of staying in Tokyo?

by Ballyman91 I have found 5-6 player actually a bit frustrating for this reason. It's possible to be in Tokyo, get hit by damage, come out and then get hit again by the person in Tokyo bay or city...

Reply: King of Tokyo:: Strategy:: Re: Whats the benefit of staying in Tokyo?

by roboraygun Yeh the more people playing, the more you have to "prepare" for your strategy. If everyone is out rolling for VP, it means they won't have time to attack! Agreed with the statement above...
