The benefits are the obvious ones (bonus points and attack-everyone). However, you usually have to "set yourself up" to be in Tokyo to actually feel like "The King." whether that means having a life advantage, other players have died so the player count is now lower (ruling over 5 competing monsters is a lot harder than ruling over 2), a defensive item, etc. If you all have even life, points, and no items then Tokyo is not going to be attractiveSome people wish that Tokyo was just usually a coveted place to be and its too weird for them that Tokyo is instead a hot potato. But I like it the way it is since being in Tokyo when you don't belong there can be heart-pounding, and when you set yourself up where you actually want to be in Tokyo you really feel like the KING OF TOKYO -- and you earned it
