I have played this game over 10 times now and I realised that the cards have little dents in them. I realised that those are because of the dice being rolled on them. Laminating or sleeving them will not protect the cards from this. Does this just happen to me or does it also affect other people? And is there any way to prevent this from further happening?

Use the box top as a dice field or have a similar type place to roll your dice. Perhaps a dice tower.

That's what I do for any dice game, hope it helps

I was thinking about that but in a 5-6 player game, passing the box around to roll in seems quite troublesome and time consuming.

Or just get a small plastic container, keep the dice in that, like a Tupperware container.

I just avoid rolling on the cards. They shouldn't be that little room to do that. If others don't take this precaution I kindly ask them not to roll on the cards.

Get the hard plastic sleeves. The cards will take up a lot of room after you sleeve them, so you'll need to throw away the insert.

I just bag the sleeved cards and hide the bag under the insert. It's only minor extra work to pull out the insert when we start playing.

Also, I don't think you should have a denting problem as long as you don't roll the dice directly on top of the cards.

I can't think of any way this could possibly be prevented. Best just throw the game out in a fit of rage and then talk trash about the cheap company who made cards out of cardstock instead of steel.

We do all dice rolls in the box lid - keeps them nicely contained so they never stop on an edge and don't smash up energy cube stores.

If you don't want to pass it around then put it in the middle of the table with the Tokyo board in the middle of it. Only rolls in the box count.

I have another vote here for a dice rolling tray. We use one I made out of a cheap shadowbox picture frame and some felt and just pass the box around. We've played with 6 players that way and it was actually more convenient than trying to roll around everyone's monsters and cards and drinks and snacks.

I would advise that you not play with the cards. Or the dice.

I'm new to the game (played first time tonight), and it seems like it might be a lot of fun. But the limited rules in the box do leave a lot for interpretation. For instance, we were playing that the KOT got 2 victory points at the beginning of *each* turn. Made for a quick game. But reading this forum informs me that its suppose to be only at the beginning of your turn. Is there an updated, more thorough set of rules?

For two cards, two questions: Plot Twist, can you buy the card and immediately use it to change the dice? Or is the buy phase after the dice resolution, and you can't change the dice after the resolution phase?

Healing Ray - can you heal an opponent who is already at 10 life (ie, to simply steal energy)?

In the files section you will find FAQs and card rulings.

Buying happens after resolution.

No.
