The taskmaster and carnidon are going to be significantly smaller than the remaining figs. The monsters are approx 3" tall or so; the other two about half of that.

I have to ask, How old are your kids?

My 12 y/o didn't dig into it, neither us (the parents), but I might save it for future offspring like castle panic and monkey lab.

Same thing for me! I normally have to use a little coercion to get my son to play anything, but after getting KoT last week he wants to play every day. This morning when I dropped him off for school he said "I want to play 6 games tonight, ok?"

Love it, great game, and the best thing is, I enjoy it every bit as much as he does. A winner!

ps, My son is 10. I'm 47

Because buying cards is the last thing you do on your turn, newly acquired cards are only taking effect AFTER the end of your turn, or on your next turn.

Cards you buy are immediately in effect.

For example, the card that gives you 1 star point when you buy cards. You immediately gain a star when buying that card. Some cards useful next turn, but they are still in active when you buy them, like cards that give you extra damage on an attack (spiked tail), these cards can't be used because the attacking phase is already over, you'll have to wait until your next turn for it to work.

My reference in this is Richard himself (the creator of the game), where he answered a question from a player on a forum (about the broadcaster or TV card, don't remember how the cards is called).

Seems to be coming out fairly soon...in time for Halloween maybe. Grabbed the photo from Crits Happen. Perfect theme for the game!

If anyone has an extra set of dice they don't want, I'd take them off your hands.
