As there are no asymmetric powers in the game, the the playing field is already level. The only difference is player order.

What you're doing is putting training wheels on the game. There is no hard decision because I just keep rolling to see if I get what I want. If I don't, no big deal. There are fewer decisions to be made because you never have to stop rolling. And you are in no way adding a new decision to the game.
