Thread: King of Tokyo:: Variants:: The Defense of Tokyo variant for two

When only two players remain and one is in Tokyo, roll a D6. If the result is 1-3 roll it again and take D6/2 (min 1) damage from tanks and aircraft. (Or use the tanks on Martian Dice.) Actually, there might be an interesting variant for The Defense of Tokyo that involve all the Martian Dice.

Might be easier to just say
"Roll a dice. If it is a number then the player takes that many attacks. Nothing happens on the roll of claws/energy/heart."

That way you only need one roll and it is of the dice in the set.

Wait, what? :wow:

Is there a stand alone follow-up to King of Tokyo in the works?

Apparently there is a stand alone coming out. It is something like "King of Moscow" (or something Slavic related). No ETA or info other than that though.

No, there's both. A Halloween expansion in Oct. 2013 and a standalone game in 2014.

My King of Tokyo foam board box insert. It has 4 trays on 3 levels, an idea which I developed upon from user 28green (Jonathan White). The board sits above the tokens and energy cubes to stop them from moving around.

I don't know where it might be available on the Internet, but I was at a press gathering by Iello at GenCon and it was announced there with Richard Garfield in attendance. they said it would be called King of Something.

So it's probably going to be one of those "it' a stand alone but you can combine them sort of deals.
