I still think it's a valuable part of the game even if it isn't as thriling as getting to roll an extra die every turn. The cost of buying Energize needs to be high enough that it's not an obvious buy. If you lower the cost, you're putting it into a range where there's a good chance a player will already have that amount when the card is revealed. Then it becomes a far too obvious choice to purchase it. If you make it cost 6 with a return of 7 energy and you happen to have 6 energy already, then there's no reason to not buy it.

If you did take Energize and followed it up with an extra head, you'd have 2 extra power and probably wouldn't be able to spend it.


But you're 1 energy closer to buying your next card at basically no cost, which is pretty nice.

Edit: I do agree with Monster Batteries though, I haven't been able to find a strategy that makes that card worthwhile.
