If you can hang on in Tokyo until it gets back to you then take your two VP and try for heavy damage with claws. If you get enough of them people will be focused on hearts and not hurting you in Tokyo. If they do threaten to hit you then threaten to leave which will take them to Tokyo, but now significantly hurt because of the damage you dealt them earlier.Also, if two players are in Tokyo it becomes two against three. Now team up and try to both hang on in Tokyo for extra VP. This can work out very well if there is a player between you both.
Lastly, look out for cards that can heal you when you are in Tokyo. Grab them when you can.
