Thread: King of Tokyo:: General:: 6P war of attrition?

I played a 6P game the other day. The first 4 or 5 times around the table were very formulaic. (We were playing with Power Up). Get energy, try for evolution...get a claw to get into Tokyo. As soon as you get hit, leave Tokyo.

I think it was over 25 times where the monster who just took Tokyo, left the very next turn. And why not? Why stay there and suffer 5 more possible attacks for a chance to do damage to all, a measly 2 VP...and probably remaining with extremely low health. There was never a reason to Stay in...so it became a grind on who got lucky enough to evolve, get energy, keep up their health. The game was won on VIPs, with only 2 monsters dying. No one ever wanted to stay in Tokyo.

Anyone else experience this trend?
