From what I've seen, larger games typically go that a couple monsters get eliminated, and then someone wins from points. One possible solution would be to increase the amount of points to win, but that has a couple problems: you'd need a different way to keep track of points, and there would be more downtime for eliminated players.Another tactic with 5-6 players is to team up with a player sitting beside you when you are both in Tokyo. If you can both stay until your turns come up, you can hand out a massive pummeling, and nobody's going to even think of attacking you. It's worth the gamble of letting your hearts drop a point or two lower than is comfortable if you can get the double-Tokyo-attack in.
