Richard, what I'm seeing is that you are angry that the monster switch happened. You think Iello is trying to squeeze more money out of their fan base, and don't know if you want to support them any more. Maybe you're trying to figure out if other people agree with you. Maybe you're just thinking aloud, bouncing your ideas off of other 'Geeks.

So what do you want to happen next here?
You are right that I am angry about the switch. I have been very vocal about this since last summer when it was announced. However, I am not just bouncing ideas off other Geeks; my mind has been made up for months.

Instead what I see is Iello either making stupid decisions or greedy decisions, and I don't think they are stupid people. They said for months they were planning to included the KoNY powers in the new edition of KoT PU, and then last minute we found out they took them out to include the old monsters as well. And then they talk about how the decision to include the new monsters didn't raise the price, conveniently omitting the part where they (as previously admitted by themselves) removed content to allow for the inclusion. Essentially we went from expansion with content A+B cost $20 to expansion A with only content A cost $20 and expansion B with only content B cost $20. But look, the price is the same.

Okay so content issue aside, they want to help out 1st edition owners right? Well no, we know that is not true as they don't seem to care about releasing the new monsters, via monster packs, to those people so they don't have to rebuy a bunch of redundant content even though many people have been asking for this and they have had all the assets in hand. Instead they have released Cthulhu and are about to release King Kong, despite us already have multiple Kong clone characters. On top of that, anyone who buys the new expansion that only has the 2nd edition base game will be wondering how they are supposed to get these discontinued monsters, monsters who may not even see continued support (will get they KoNY powers, who knows?).

Essentially, Iello has seemingly gone out of their way to make this whole process require as many redundant purchases as possible. Many people, possibly yourself included, have been fine with this, seemingly ready to throw money at them for a lot of content they already own. I am not one of those people, and as a long time fan of the game, it pisses me off that they expect me to rebuy a bunch of stuff for really no reason at all other than as I said before that they are making either stupid or greedy decisions.
