There's a geeklist that was put together by Martin G. using a tool that he wrote (http://qwertymartin.pythonanywhere.com/) to compile a list of which games you've played every year for the the last five. It's pretty neat, and I'm always interested in anything that makes use of the plays that I bother logging. You can enter your own BGG handle and add yourself to the geeklist here: New to you FIVE years ago 2016 => Has it stood the test of time?[/geeklist].
Unfortunately, I don't have 5 years of well logged plays, so I ran the tool for the last three years to see what it would come up with. Here are the results:
Played in all years
7 Wonders: 4/1/1
Dig Down Dwarf: 1/2/3
Fleet: 8/1/1
Keyflower: 1/5/1
Kingsburg: 1/1/2

Looking at the list of games played in all 3 years, Dig Down Dwarf is a game I expect to keep getting played, especially when the second edition comes out in a few months. Although I don't own it, 7 Wonders will probably get a play here and there. And then there's Keyflower. I certainly hope it gets lots and lots of plays since I love it to death. Kingsburg is a game that I quite enjoy and wouldn't mind owning. We'll have to wait and see if the second edition comes out to be any good (and is even available in English). So far, many have been left unimpressed by the new artwork and "makeover" it has gotten, but including the exapsions (and a new one) in the box is enticing. Pandemic and Burgundy will undoubtedly continue to get played, although it looks like I maaaay have burnt out on Star Realms :) Maybe that should fall under the "83 and done" category.
Looking at the "Missed a Year" list, there are actually several that I really didn't enjoy too much and don't need to ever play again. Two that stand out that I would like to play more are Shipyard and Rolling Freight. Shipyard has an innately satisfying feel to it, as well as lots and lots of rondels (RONDELS!!!!), while Rolling Freight has proven to be one of the most enjoyable track laying games I've played (beating out the Wallace games).
As for the nickel and done list, just good old Blockers (or Uptown), which was just shy of a dime! I remember one night in which we played four games in a row, with one memorably (and very nearly successful) attempt at cutting the board in half with a straight line of pieces! Simple, and a bit luck driven, but I really enjoy it nonetheless.
Feel free to share your lists below or in the linked geeklist! Thanks for the cool tool Martin!
