In my efforts to sleeve my copy of KoT, I first bought some of FFG's Standard Card Game size sleeves and found that they were obnoxiously "roomy" and the cards wiggled around inside the sleeve more than I was comfortable with. They also left about 3mm of extra sleeve at the top. I also discovered that the two packs I had bought were unevenly cut and one pack was about 1mm taller than the other. Call them nitpicks if you will but they were clearly not properly fitted for the cards.

So, I bought some UltraPro Standard-size sleeves and found that they fit KoT perfectly. Very snug but not overly tight, no wiggle room and at most only about 0.5mm of extra sleeve on top. The only irritation about UltraPro's sleeves are the hologram dots which obscure the card text if you face them frontwards (as such, I recommend clear UltraPros for KoT) but they were otherwise superior in every way to the FFGs. They have greater clarity, thickness/rigidity and fit.

Has anyone sleeved this game? It seems like the stack of cards would get all wobbly and fall over a lot. Is this the case? Is it worth me sleeving the cards?

After sleeving the deck with UltraPros, the deck was taller and the slickness of the sleeves had them toppling over constantly. This is common with sleeving in general but is fairly easy to fix by placing the stack of sleeved cards under something heavy (a large, heavy, hardback book works great) and leaving them there for a day or so to "deflate". After that, the deck was still obviously taller than normal but not so tall that I think it will be much of a problem.

Personally, I play KoT so much that I felt it was worth it to sleeve them.
