First, I'll admit I didn't thoroughly read your entire review. I own and enjoy King of Tokyo, so I just skimmed the gameplay and components sections. As for the Q&A and Final Thoughts sections, you perfectly described my feelings towards this game. I've heard some hardcore Euro gamers say that they refuse to play this game for reasons like ""it's purely luck-based; I'd rather play [a brain-burner]" or "it's a waste of time I could otherwise spend [pushing cubes]." But they're missing out on a fun filler that has a nice mix of luck, humour, and enough meaningful decisions to engage gamers and non-gamers alike (not to mention children of all ages).
With one exception, everyone we have played it with has enjoyed it thoroughly. We even pulled it out at a convention this past weekend. Players liked it so much we had to play a second time, and two of them concluded with "I must buy this game."
P.S. I lol'ed at "I don't roll sucky like you and mommy!"
