Die rolls in the middle of the game affect each other. But that does not hold for the potentially-last die roll of the game. As soon as the game reaches a situation where one random event decides the outcome of the game, that event stands alone. Nothing after it can balance it out. Whatever skew from average that specific random event imparts is permanent.
That's like saying the very last move in a game of chess, or frankly the very last event in any game, stands alone as what decides the winner!

Firstly one game isn't enough to determine how often the better player will win.
And, secondly, King Of Tokyo is a fast filler game! It's certainly faster than any game of Fluxx I've ever played!
