It sounds like the game just isn't for you, which is fine. But, this statement about a 5/6 chance of winning doesn't make any sense. You were not likely to win either way. Even if you hadn't rolled any claws and remained outside Tokyo, the player in Tokyo would surely have killed you, anyway. You certainly didn't have a 5/6 chance of winning, no matter what you rolled.

This game not being for me is the whole point of the thread. It's in the *title* of the thread, even.

When I said 1/6 and 5/6 I wasn't referring to my unwanted claw roll, I was referring to my [strongest, sitting to my right] opponent's final claw roll. Had it come up anything but a claw, I would have gotten another turn and won.

I really don't think your odds of winning before you went in Tokyo was very good to begin with. Let's just say you would've been very lucky to win but that would've been ok right?

Can you elaborate on your view of those odds? I'd put it about even, depending on how hard the other two players try to take Tokyo.

Were your mates at this point yelling "CLAW! CLAW! CLAW!"? Or it was more like "hmm... this is not very interesting statistically speaking"? Because depending on the answer I might have a clue about why you didn't enjoy it.

Mostly the latter. It's like the final card reveal in a game of poker. You've already figured out all the possible outcomes. You know the odds.

"Oh well, if he rolls a claw then you're out of the game. Would you get refills on drinks?"
