One complaint I have with KOT, is I think it should be easier to know everybody's victory points, and everybody's health. If it was designed with 6 color bases for the monsters, and 12 game pieces (2 in each color.)
You could choose your monster, choose your base color, then put your game piece on 0 vp, and 10 health to start. At a glance you would know who was in the lead. Since the game is constant dice rolling, I would make the pieces magnetic as well, so they are less likely to get knocked around.
