No, but nor do the rules state that effect resolution is instantaneous or non-interruptable.

That is exactly the flawed logic I am arguing against. The effects HAVE to be instantaneous. If it is not, you are applying a arbitrary time for reaction that you make up. Since this time is arbitrary and not defined in the rules it could be anything. You mention end of turn, but by the same logic it could 4 turns later? It is silly, I know, but either way you are making up rules. If you want to play that way, by all means, but surely you can see that you are quite literally the definition of a house rule.

By that same logic, because the rules themselves do not state the correct interpretation, yours, and any, is also a house rule.
