Mimic is worded such that it is "as if you played the mimicked card" and since there isn't anything saying otherwise, I'd say that applies to all aspects of the card. That means it is effectively a costume, and could be stolen. The player that steals it could then use it as-is, or pay energy on their turn to mimic something else.

At least that's what I'll argue when you try that on me. ;)
