I think whats going on is that you are using your own level of ability as a guide for what you think other people are capable of.

I think you are not reading, or deliberately misinterpreting, what I've written, because I'm not saying you, I, or anyone could not make something of the same quality, full stop.

I'm saying that I don't believe you, I, or anyone (without access to industry level equipment) could make a one off custom built copy of the same quality for the same money or less.

And I'm trying to say as clearly as I can that you are wrong.

Maybe you're thinking that I'm claiming that I could make it for less than their manufacturing cost? That's probably around $5-10 for the more recent printings (including materials and production labor). Which would certainly be harder to pull off than $15 or less that I was estimating. I definitely could not make this for $5. Or maybe you're counting the time I'd put into it as some sort of monetary cost? Making things is one of my hobbies, counting the time as a cost would be the same as counting the time playing a game as part of the game's cost. It's even possible that the cost of everything over there is so far above what I pay for stuff here that neither of us can comprehend what the other is saying.
