This is getting a tad ridiculous now! I can see both sides of the argument, and I do think that KoT is expensive for what it is. But when I think about how much enjoyment I get out of it I think it's justified. Nevertheless, to a general point regarding the OP - if you put posts like this up on a public forum you should expect to take criticism for your opinions. I totally respect your right to your opinion on the game, but constantly referring people to your OP doesn't make their (counter) opinions any less valid.

I couldn't agree more that this whole debacle has frankly entered into the realms of the absurd.

I am little confused by your analysis that you find the game expensive for what it is, but also justified within the next sentence. What I am reading from that though is that you believe the contents in the box don't justify the price, but the enjoyment that you have gained from play makes up for that short fall. Would that be accurate?

The thing that I feel invalidates a lot of the responses that I have received here is that they're critising a point that they are making (erroneously) on the subject for themselves (you're a pirate, you're disrespecting the IP of others etc), which the OP was quite clear in stating was not the intent. So after several reiterations of that fact, I'm just sending people back there now.

Basically they want to be critical for the sake of being critical, and I don't think they much care who or what they're critising. It's not to offer a counterpoint (because I'd have had to have made the point in the first place for that to be the case), and essentially I feel they're creating a point of contention just so they'll have something to post about.
