Just to add to the debate, my feelings are the complete opposite. As an end consumer, my only real concern is how much enjoyment I will get from the game. The component quality plays a small part in that, but ultimately the amount of fun and number of plays I get are key. A game that costs £100 but gives me 100 enjoyable games is amazing value, regardless of what's actually in the box.
