It says Each turn because in case you have another card that can give you extra turns, you may use Omnivore as many times as turns you have. just to clear that you may use it in every consecutive turn you get

There is no need for special language when you get a new turn, "Once per your turn" would suffice. When you have ended your turn in those cases, you start a new turn, and thus can use any "once on your own turn" ability again. It does not matter if other players have turns before your turn or not.

Anyway, the texts are what they are, we just need to remember the rulings.
