Here is what I posted on /r/boardgames regarding KoT.

I'm not a huge fan of the game. I just think it's okay as a filler. Most people will probably tell you to go ahead and get it. I'll just give you the list of cons.

* It's just a dice rolling game to match symbols.
* The player elimination aspect detracts from the game as well.
* Similar to Bang! and Munchkin, there will be times where it just tends to drag on.
* Many of the cards are uninteresting and our games play like a game of chicken to see who sweeps first.
* In 5+ player games, nobody wants to be in Tokyo and actually actively avoid rolling claws.
* There are no differences in character selection until you introduce Power Up!
* Gigazaur's powers are annoying and extend the game (I'm not a fan of game mechanics that move the game backwards).

Having said that all that, my friends all love the game which is why I still have it. It will generally play under 90 minutes (most games probably clock in between 20-45, maybe reaching 60 if you have several AP prone players). If you do decide to buy the game, you should definitely get the Power Up! expansion with it.

Just for the record, in my opinion, only one of these (the fifth one) is accurate.
