Hey there! I gave this a try, and in general it was pretty good! You're right, monster batteries is fine as it is. The main issue remaining with the double energy comes from cards with the ability to spend energy for immediate effects (wings, rapid healing, stretchy, telepath, and whichever others), since they now cost so little that they are at least twice as good, often better than that. Either the initial card cost or the activation cost should double (probably the latter) - I quickly grabbed up wings and was easily able to keep enough energy to avoid any significant attacks. Other than that, this is a solid variant with very little to change or keep track of!↧
