I had 17 stars, 1 life, and the cards Gourmet [1,1,1 scores 2 extra stars] and Herd Culler [You can change one die to a 1].
My opponent was occupying Tokyo and had Burrowing. [Deal 1 extra damage on Tokyo. Deal 1 damage when yielding Tokyo to the monster taking it.]
My final roll was 1, 1, something, something, something, Claw. I used Herd Culler to change one of the somethings to a 1, scoring three stars with Gourmet, bringing me up to 20 and claiming victory. My opponent said that the Claw would also resolve, causing me to attack him for a point of damage, whereupon he would yield Tokyo, dealing one damage to me with Burrowing, killing me.
My argument is that after all my dice resolve, I have dealt a damage to him and have 20 stars. His yielding of Tokyo would be an action following the dice resolution, meaning that I would win before he can yield. His argument is that the check for win conditions would occur when my turn ends, and at that time I would be dead.
Who wins in this situation, and why?
