I think we understood the rules okay, but when people are re-rolling claws to get hearts, you aren't beating down the person in Tokyo. If no one starts a turn in Tokyo, then they can't dish out huge amounts on the rest of the players either. Plus, and I need to emphasise this, kids really slow down any game, especially when the dice are too big for them to roll all six in one go. Then there is the re-reading of each card (before they even roll the dice!) and so on. And is it just me who ALWAYS turns the dials the wrong way? Every time!

I assume you must have the expansions? If everyone is healing, then you have to sit in Tokyo, and make them continue to pay, while you collect victory points!

I've had KoT games as short at 20 minutes (with 6 players even), and some have lasted an hour and a half... which I agree, is probably past that game's welcome. Especially as there is usually one or two players who are eliminated early. There is nothing worse than sitting around waiting for the next game, while the rest of the group is having fun
