I've had problems with the last two KoT games I purchased. The expansion I purchased was missing chits, and the KoT base game I purchased as a gift for my nephew had faulty scoring-boards, as well as damaged play pieces (which sounds like what you have).I contacted Stephan of Iello at iellogames@gmail.com, and he responded within a day, and had shipped replacement parts within a few days.
I wasn't happy to get two faulty products in a row, but Iello has been really good about fixing up the problems.
