It's possible that the dice are just extra dice in another color, but here are 3 reasons why you need an extra set:#1
Camouflage
If you take damage roll a die for each damage point. On a [H] you do not take that damage point.

Lightning Armor
If you take damage roll a die for each damage point. On a [A] the Monster whose turn it is takes 1 damage.
