Yes, I had looked at it, but it seemed too complex. Too many little rules and fiddling with components. Also didn't seem like it would produce the same level of tension as in the multi-player game.Holding Tokyo should be hard. It should be scary. I've mostly played this game with 4-5 players, and it is difficult to survive more than one round without dying, even if you started out with plenty of life.
A single dummy monster with a single roll isn't scary enough. We tried 2 dummy monsters each with no re-rolls. It's purely random, usually just 1 damage, sometimes 2, occasionally 3. With the re-roll, the damage is increased, but it's also a little more consistent.
