I can agree that there is some manipulation but I was just hoping for something more. I think this is where the whole thing about having the right group comes in. As I said with the right group its probably a blast and may have drastically changed my review. As it was with my group, there were no tense rolls that lead to catastrophical failures. Instead everyone just played there game without really worrying or poking jabs at everyone else. As I said they enjoyed the theme enough there just wasn't that push your luck to topple the king of Tokyo vibe.
Hopefully I get a chance to play this with the right group and the expansion so I can see how that changes my view on the game!
