Your comments about it being too luck-based are valid, but even a look on the back of the box should be enough to realise that (the only functional components of the game are cards and dice). So, I don't think it's justified to act surprised about that aspect of the game (looking forward to it and then being disappointed).The other part of your review I disagree with is the critique on the rulebook. What it actually is missing is a larger FAQ with all ambiguous card interactions (thankfully this was covered later, with help from the bgg community). The actual rules are so simple that they could be summed up on a card and still be perfectly understandable, I don't see how anyone would have a problem grasping them.
