I just thought I'd follow this up.

I picked up my replacements yesterday. The packaging was good, and all the monster boards actually had neat squares instead of horrid {} boxes. If I want to nitpick anything, then I'd say the dials weren't perfectly aligned, but I'm not fazed by then not being perfectly vertical and centered. Most of the monster cutouts were perfect, so much better, but the Meka-Dragon wasn't a great improvement, with a lot of splitting on the sharp points. Luckily, that was easily fixed with some glue. Still not as good as the others, but more than passable.

To sum up, the game now looks a lot better. Just have to get it to the table.
