This is what I said to him. He's the manipulative do everything to win inasmuch as games get less fun type of player.
Apparently his motive on holding out so long to play that card was that having a facedown evolution card would make our plays more cautious.
Like we'd go "ooo i'd better not do this, that card in front of him could be [insert card that could screw me if i did what i wanted.]
Didn't make that much sense to me, as I would've just healed as soon as i was at 8, knowing besides him, none of us play that smart, especially in King of Tokyo.
