Noone's jumped to defend him yet only because I didn't see this thread until today. I actually completely agree with Rick. The problem as I see it is, if it's a real promo like Garfield's Gift where you have to be at a certain place at a specific time, that's fine. But by selling a limited quantity of some cards on a website, IELLO is really saying "these aren't promos even if we call them that, it's an extremely limited mini-expansion". Gamers really don't like being excluded from the club in case you didn't notice. Myself, I'm a completionist (assuming the item in question is functional), and it really annoys me that I can't get these cards through the same means that others did. This game gets a TON of play in my house, and I'd love to just throw my money into IELLO's bank account. But it seems they aren't interested. Cool, I'm sure I can find a set on Ebay, but I'm likely to pass over future games of theirs if that's the hand they want to play.
Assuming I do eventually acquire a set, I'll probably soften my stance. I reserve the right to do that. But this is the way I feel today.
