"Gain 1 Star for each 6 energy you have at the end of your turn"is the correct translation of the card.
And "I guess it renders the card almost useless"... be surprised if you play the game.
I started with thoughts like this about a lot of cards.
Meanwhile I changed my mind.
For nearly every card there is a situation where I love to have the card!! ;-)
