I really liked this. We played with this variant. Didn't have the card limitations and it was a lot more fun rather than waiting to save up energy, it got the cards into peoples hands a lot quicker.The other thing we did was that you only needed 2 hearts to gain an evolution card. There were then so many cards in play it was hectic. So much fun though and quite hilarious.
We played this on a 6 player game, and the problem then became that no one got attacked because everyone was either focussing on energy or VP. So another variant would be that you need to have players in tokyo and tokyo bay. When they get attacked, only tokyo has choice to exit, but the one in the bay then moves up and new player goes into Bay. This way 2 palyers will get attacked.
