You can only use Metamorph at the end of your turn, so therefore you cannot buy anything else that turn (otherwise it is not the end of your turn). You could do your strategy, but it is not a quick strategy, it would require a number of turns.
But you buy cards also at the end of your turn, so you can use Metamorph and buy cards.
