I strongly agree with the OP. I've played KoT twice and I fervently hope I won't have to endure a third game. The thing is, I really like dice games, but I like the ones that require some thought. Maybe that's my big problem with KoT--I want more in a dice game than just a little theming. But to me, the biggest issue with the game is that in both of my games, there were no laughs. Maybe it's because there's so little to comment on during your opponents' turns. Just roll the dice, make the (usually straightforward) decision of what to reroll, repeat, and then pass the dice. No real smack talk, nothing. If you've got few decisions and little external entertainment, why bother playing?↧
