Well that could explain you seemingly long games. You can't use hearts in Tokyo for healing or removing status effects.

No the choice to go into tokyo isn't yours. The choice to go for that 3rd re-roll when your 2nd has no claws, your health is low and the player in Tokyo might want to leave is. How much can you damage the player in Tokyo before they choose to leave? Are they in because they want to, or have cards to, damage everyone as their main stratagem? Maybe they have cards to gain VP outside of Tokyo and want to leave first chance you get. However, you sure could use that last roll for some more energy so you can wipe the cards in play so your neighbor can't get the card they want and maybe then but the extra head that just came up.

I hate Yahtzee but love KoT. The former has no player interaction and only tactical decisions based on the results of the dice in trying to get the highest result. The latter has player interaction and you can go into it with a plan because there is not a highest outcome of the dice.
